2 Days ago, it was 90+ degrees in Las Vegas. Now, it is 55 degrees out with 22 mph winds and the wind chill is probably around 35 degrees. It is snowing up in the mountains and there are winter storm warnings for the higher elevations.
Ahh, who needs Fall anyways? Well, I do because I love the Fall- changing tree leave colors, even in Las Vegas, cooler weather, football, going for walks in the desert without burning yourself up and watching the wildlife pass by Las Vegas as they flea further south to escape the colder weather up north.
But there is a down side of course. In the Fall, we have a migration of a strange animal from the north called Snow Birds. These animals come from the North and Northeast and set up a nest in a condo, apartment building or a trailer park. They drive slowly in the left lane and still enjoy the heavy metal music of Lawrence Welk.
But they do spend money in Vegas and help keep some on and off Strip shows from closing. Sadly, Snow Birds are slowly becoming extinct. So, welcome back Snow Birds, here is a picture of a Snow Bird, in case you are a bird watcher.
