Who Needs Sleeping Pills When You Have NASCAR?

Another week and another NASCAR race so boring that if you ever have insomnia, you could watch the NASCAR Sprint Good Sam RV Insurance Pocono 500 and it will put you to sleep in 10 minutes. Heck, just reading the name of the sponsor could put most people to sleep.
Brad Keslowski won the 500 miler, defeating Kyle Busch by about a second and Keslowski winning was a surprise because he broke his leg earlier in the week. Ok, that was the highlight of the weekend.
There were a total of 4 yellows for very minor incidents or debris and a red flag for rain that lasted for an hour and 40 minutes. During the red flag time, I watched the Izod Indy car race in Ohio, which was far more interesting and exciting.
This weekend had 3 NASCAR races and the only excitement during the weekend was at the end of the Nationwide race in Iowa when Ricky Stenhouse won the race right after he blew an engine on the final turn and was crashed into by Carl Edwards and pushed across the start finish line. The Camping World truck race was rained out yesterday and the race was run at 6:00AM this morning and that race was pretty boring as well.
NASCAR is losing fans, both at the track and on TV. Maybe one reason is that most of the races have been extremely boring to watch. NASCAR made the season more interesting with the new point system but now they have to work on the races being more exciting than watching 80 year old grandmas driving to Church on Sundays.
