A woman is reportedly in jail in Las Cruces, N.M., for stabbing her boyfriend in the arm because he wouldn't buy her another 40-ounce bottle of beer.
Alexa Monet Rodriguez, 22, was arrested after she became enraged at her boyfriend and slashed him with a 14-inch knife, the Doña Ana Sheriff's office told the Las Cruces Sun-News.
Cops said the alleged incident happened around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Sheriff's office spokeswoman Kelly Jameson said Rodriguez also threw a 3-pound weight at her boyfriend so and cracked him in the back with a TV tray and a chair.
Rodriguez fled after the slashing but was arrested soon after. She was charged with aggravated battery against a household member with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault against a household member with a deadly weapon and two counts of battery against a household member.
Her bond has been set at $15,000 cash.
The victim, who just moved to Las Cruces three months ago, was transported by ambulance to an area hospital to be treated for non life-threatening injuries.
