You got to be kidding! Shithead with a shotgun doing stick ups on CTA red line....


An 18-year-old man is being questioned today after three people were robbed by a shotgun-wielding man on the the Sheridan stop on the CTA's Red Line over the weekend, police said.

The incident happened at 3:20 a.m. Saturday on the platform at the Red Line stop on the 3900 block of North Sheridan Avenue, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Michael Sullivan.

The victims, two 20-year-old women and a 25-year-old man, were waiting for a train when a man came up to them, took a sawed-off shotgun from his backpack and aimed it at three, Sullivan said.

The man demanded cell phones from the three and then fled, Sullivan said. The victims were not injured, Sullivan said.

On Wednesday the suspect was arrested at about 8:30 p.m. on the 100 block of West Brink Avenue in northwest suburban Harvard in McHenry County, Sullivan said. A sawed-off shotgun was recovered, Sullivan said.

Police did not say how they tracked the suspect to that locaation.

Charges are pending, said Sullivan.
