BREAKING NEWS: A Chicago Police Officer was just shot (9 32PM) at 13200 South Langley.

Offender may be in custody. Officer's condition unknown.

UPDATE: Officer shot in leg. Possible female in custody. Officer was responding to shots fired by a female.

Thanks to Oak Lawn Police, St. X University Police, Alsip Police and many other suburban police departments that blocked off intersections so that the ambulance could get the shot officer quickly to the hospital.
