High school teacher accused of sending 'inappropriate' photos to student
A former teacher at East Aurora High School has been charged in connection with sending “inappropriate” photos of herself to a 15-year-old boy who was her student, police said.
Kelly K. Miller, 32, was charged with misdemeanor sexual exploitation of a child, according to Aurora police. She was released on $1,000 bail Tuesday.
Miller, of the 2700 block of Oak Drive in West Dundee, is alleged to have sent the student two inappropriate photos while she was sending him text messages in late May or June, according to a release from Aurora police.
Police first learned of the photos when they got a a tip Sept. 19 and immediately began an investigation, police said. Investigators filed the charge Tuesday and Miller turned herself in to police about 8 p.m., said police spokesman Dan Ferrelli in an email.
Miller posted bond later in the evening and is expected to appear in Aurora Branch Court on Nov. 18 at 9 a.m.
