A 22-year-old man was critically wounded Tuesday afternoon by a bicycle-riding gunman in the city's Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side, police said.The shooting occurred just before 3:30 p.m. in the 6700 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue, police said.
The victim was talking down the street when the gunman rode up from behind and opened fire on the man, police said, citing preliminary reports.
The victim was struck once in the head and multiple times in both legs, police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he remained in critical condition late Tuesday, police said.
Police only had a vague description of the gunman, a black shithead on a stolen bike, so no arrests have been made.
